These two documents will help you understand our beliefs and our church.
We believe in one God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 5:16, 45; 6:1,4,8&9; James 1:17 / John 1:1; 14:9 / Genesis 1:2; John 4:24; 14:16-20;
II Peter 1:21)
We believe God is the Creator of all things, visible and invisible.
(Genesis 1:1; Acts 17:24-28; Hebrews 11:3)
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s one and only Son, our one and only Savior.
(John 1:14; I John 4:9 / John 3:16; II Peter 3:18)
We believe in the Holy Spirit
We believe in the Bible – God’s Holy Word, without error in its original form and inspired by the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 12:36; John 14:26; Acts 1:16; I Corinthians 2:12&13; II Timothy 3:14-16;
II Peter 1:20-21)
We believe that people, created by God, willfully sinned and as a result, are lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ. (Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23)
We believe that salvation – the forgiveness of sins – is only by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 26:28; Romans 5:9; Ephesians 2:4&5, 8&9; I Peter 1:18&19; I John 1:7)
We believe that the church is the body and bride of Christ, founded on the day of Pentecost, consisting of all Christians everywhere.
(Matthew 16:13-18; Acts 2:1, 14-47)
We believe that death seals the eternal destiny of each person. When Jesus returns, He will pronounce the eternal fate of each individual, both living and dead. The saved will receive eternal life; the unsaved, eternal separation from God.
(John 5:28&29; 6:39; Romans 8:10&11, 19-23; Daniel 12:2)
Churches have been around a long time, so why attend Antioch Christian Church?
Inspiring and energizing worship - One of our visions is to be a church that is changing people’s lives. We think you can feel this happening every weekend during worship, as people connect with the church, connect with each other, and are uplifted in their time spent in worship.
Services designed to fit your life and your lifestyle - Some people prefer contemporary, high-energy worship with a praise band and singers. Others prefer a more traditional worship with a choir and hymn singing. We offer a blended service with many different styles.
Sermons for thinking people - Part of the vision of Antioch Christian Church is to reach thinking people who, for whatever reason, are not part of a church. That’s why our pastor prepares every sermon with the attention given to deep and practical thought. If you love to learn and are looking for answers, encouragement and hope, you’ll see why so many are drawn to worship at Antioch.
Forging friendships, growing in faith - At Antioch Christian, we have programs for young adults, singles, baby boomers, seniors, men and women. We have a lunch with the pastor every month to give you a basic introduction to Antioch Christian. Every quarter our “First Gear” course is designed as an introduction to Christianity and the Church. Our small group ministry can connect you with 10-12 others seeking to explore and grow their faith.
Our exciting Children’s and Youth programs - At Antioch, we recognize the importance of introducing our children to the hope and joy of being a Christian and giving them a faith foundation as they grow toward adulthood. We offer Sunday School Classes, Children’s church, summer church camp and regular community outreach events, boy scouts and girl scouts for children. Our Student Ministry includes groups for teenagers in Jr. and Sr. High School on Sunday evenings, Sunday School classes, summer camps, mission trips, retreats and much more.
Excellent care and support - Our Care Ministries provide a wide range of support groups for those dealing with life challenging issues such as divorce, addictions, grief, or finding freedom from past life issues. Our dedicated team leaders is there to pray with you in the hospital or during in-home visits and offer support as other needs arise.
Making a difference - Our members have opportunities to work together and accomplish wonderful things in service to our community and world. Antioch Christian members have helped construct habitat houses, built churches on other continents, fed hungry and hurting people through Bailey’s Crossroads and the Committee for Helping others, and given thousands of hours each year in Christian service to the community.
